adidas Originals’ I ART JOBURG has teamed up with Instagramers Jozi for a photographic exhibition of Instagram shots. All photos were taken on mural walking tours in and around the Maboneng Precinct where the walkers were encouraged to take and tag all their photos with #iartjoburg on either Instagram or Twitter.

The top 50 of these images have been selected to be printed, exhibited and sold at the I ART JOBURG x IGERSJOZI photographic exhibition, which opens this Thursday evening at AREA3.

The Street concept store in Greenside launched an exhibition “The Heat is On” in collaboration with Econo wall heaters on Thursday 19 July 2012. Artists from JHB and CT were presented with a brief detailing the paint and materials that can be used to paint these wall heaters with no risk to melting or burning,13 artists came on board with 1 week to paint a 600mm x 600mm canvas with acrylic PVA and water based paint, 2 artists used permanent marker in their design acknowledging that it will fade with time but incorporating that into their design. The exhibition is up for 2 weeks, shop hours are 10am-7pm daily.
